Exodus Telecom Inc. ("ETI", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use ETIGuard.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, company name, phone number
  • Email metadata: Sender, recipient, subject, timestamp, spam score, IP address
  • Email content: Temporarily stored for quarantine review (up to 30 days)
  • Usage data: Login history, account activity, filtering statistics
  • Billing information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the ETIGuard email filtering service
  • To send account notifications, digests, and usage reports
  • To improve our spam detection algorithms
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To respond to support requests

3. Email Content

We process your inbound email solely for the purpose of spam and malware filtering. Email content is stored temporarily (up to 30 days) to allow quarantine review. We do not read, sell, share, or use email content for any purpose other than filtering and delivering it to you.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: Hosting, payment processing (Stripe), under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal authorities: When required by Canadian law or court order

5. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

  • Access all personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

6. Data Retention

  • Email content: Up to 30 days
  • Account information: Duration of account plus 30 days after closure
  • Billing records: 7 years as required by Canadian tax law
  • Unverified accounts: Automatically deleted after 90 days

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security audits. Our infrastructure is hosted in Canadian data centres.

8. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
